WOMEN'S DIVISION
MOUTOA BRANCH MEETING The monthly meeting of the Moutoa branch of the W.D.F.F. was held in the Moutoa Hall recently, and was presided over by Mrs. E. Parlato in.the unavoidable absence of the president (Mrs. S. W. Barber). There was a good attendance. A letter of thanks was received from the Shannon R.S.A. in connection with the branch's donation. A letter was also received from the Red Cross soliciting assistance in an appeal for elothing for the children of Europe. It was decided to ask each member to take a parcel of clothing to the next meeting. Mesdames F. O. Burtt and B. M. Wilson were. elected h'ew members:' " It was decided to hold a bring-and-buy stall at the next meeting to raise funds for a gift for the Kaianga-Moe Rest Home. A gift evening for Miss N. Parlato was also decided on for August 6. At the next meeting six food parcels will be packed for Britain. Three competitions conducted during the afternoon were won as follows: Mrs. L. Sanson; Mrs. G. Barber and Mrs. Sanson and Mrs. Fuller (equal). The flower competition was won by Mrs. N. Jenhings. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Campbell and Wyllie and Sister McDonald.
