The club holds weekly games in the Parish Hall each Wednesday evening. Fortune Smiles on No. 13 Fortune smiled on a local punter at the Trentham races. on Saturday when he obeyed an impulse. The race was the Whyte Handicap and the horse was Fortune's Smile. When the horse carae on to the course it had drawn the thirteenth position ait the barrier and 1 was number 13. When adding up the number of letters in the horse's name,- the punter found that they also totalled 13. It was on this impulse that he backed the horse, which duly won.
