— Buckley golfers enjoyed summer conditions over the weekend, when there was an excellent attendance of players on the links. On saturday afternoon the July medal round was played and the followmg were the results: S. Gledhill 93—26—67, W. C. Higgie 88—18 . — 70, D. Purcell 85—14—71, V. Pope 89 — 16 — 73, V. Picard 85 — 12 — 73, B. Harris 97—23—74, H. Stern 82—9— 73, J. Stern 93—21—72. Sunday's fixture was a mixed foursome and the results were as follows: Mrs. H. Stern and F. Picard 70, Miss N. Easton and H. Stern 73, Mrs. D. Higgie ,and H. Pope 76, Mrs. McClymont and W. Stern 76, Mrs. Charters and J. Mabey 77, Mrs. E .T. Wilson and V. Picard 77, Miss C. Stern and N. Mabey 78, Miss P. Stern and A. Rasmussen 80, Mrs. Fitzgerald and V. Pope 81, Miss B. Stern and B. Harris 82, Mrs. Rasmussen and Harding 84, Mrs. H. Pope and J. Chambers 85, Mrs. S. L. Graham and D. Higgie 86, Miss E. Roach and R. Collins 93. Picard Eros.' Cup The flnal round in the Picard Bros. Cup competition was played over the weekend and D. Purcell, who returned three nett scores totalling 207, was the winner. The runners-up were B. Harris and J. Stern, with 209 each. Handicap Reduetions The handicap committ'ee advises that S. Gledhill's handicap has been reduced from 26 — 20 to 24— 18. On Sunday next a team representing the Buckley Club will travel to Oroua Downs to compete in a return inter-club match.
