DEARTH OF TAXIS ON RACE DAYS DEPLORED
It is a ' common fact throughout New Zealand that there is always a dearth of taxis on a Saturday commented the No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority, Mr. p. Skoglund, iri Levin yesterday. IHost pfopraetors of taxi businesses preferred tradjng to and from ra.ee meetings- on these days, with the result that it was diflicult for persons in the towns- to secure transport, he added.
