LINE DAMAGE AT KOPUTABOA REPAIRED The Main Trunk raiiway, which has been closed between Koputaroa j and Shannon since Sunday after- j noon because of the floods, was opened again at noon today. The flood waters receded from the line last night and engineering| gangs, working since daylight this j morning, repaired the damage toj the permanent way. This was not as serious as was first thought to be the case. First train over the line after it had been opened was the Welling-ton-New Plymouth express, which passes through Levin at 12.10 p.m. The transhipping of train passengers by bus between Levin qmd Shannon was contipued through - out yesterday and this morning, but it is now no longer necessary.
