FUTURE TOO UNCERTAIN IN INDIA
AUCKLAND, June 25. A New Zealander who has spent many years in India as an electrical engineer, Alr. A. C. Nixon, arrived at Auckland J '■ by flying boat. Mr. Nixon, who has * worked for a utility eompany supplying eleetric powcr to Delhi, for the past 27 years, said he was one of many of Bri iish stoek obliged to -leave India through the trencl of political events. Alr. 'Nixon explained that the electrical' eompany, which was British owned, had recentlv been taken over by the Indian Government. Although he had been offered a three-year eontraet in an executive position, he had preferred 'to leave. "The Tndians have succeeded in making Britain withdraw from India," lie said, "but now they realise the consequences. They are trying to induee nianv British people to stay.
