Noisy Scenes Precede Vote In Hungarian House

The Smallbolder and PreednmParty members in the Hungarian Parliament defeated the Socialists and Communists in a vote oh* whether a non-party member, M, Torenyi, should be brought before :he Privileges Committee. M. Torenyi, in a speech during the ' debate on the peace treaty, called_ a Socialist ex-deputy a .raitorT The vote followed noisy scenes, with deputies shouting and protesting. " More loud protests interrupted the Communist reply to a speech"by the Freedom Party leader, M. Sulyok, who said that if the righ\ of free speech, which was guaranteed in the peace treaties was not granted, the Opposition could apoeal tq the great powers. A Communist spokesman, ' M. Martin Horvath, said: "M. Sulyok forgets that other paragraph in the peace treaty forbidding Fascist movements."
