NO LOCAL SENIOR RUGBY THIS SATURDAY
No senior rugby matches will be played locally this Saturday-, but friendly games will be permitted on all grounds with the exeeptioh of the "Levin Park Domain, which is considered to be unfit for play this week. This was the ded-ision of the management committee of the Horowhenua Rugby Union when it met last night. The Horowhenua Wairarapa representative game will be played at Carterton on Saturday. Considerable discussion arose as to whether a start should be made on Saturday' with the Nash Cup games, but when put to a vote a motibn to that effect was lost, many members considering that the notice was too short, and that in view of the representative game some teams would not be in a positioh to field a team.
