Repo'rting back to ihe board, Mr.. W. E. Barber Said that ho decision had been r'eaciied and a further meeting WoUld be held 6n- July 2. There was opposltion at the last meeting to the cdntiriiiance of the council in the Manawatu. Be considered that' the board had muc'h to gain by pressing for the continuance of the council and subsequent fepf e'sehtatiOn on it, and moved that the board agree to pay its contribution towafds the expenses Of the council's operations on a pro-rata basis. As Mr. Barber intimated that he would be unable to attend the next July meeting, Mr. J. H. P. Liggins was nominated to represent the board. r~-mi ii ii ■
