WELLINGTON PLAYERS PRESENT The Shannon Table Tennis Club held a very successful opening night in the Parish Hall last Wednesday evening. There was a large gathering of local players present and the club was fortunate in having four leading Wellington players in attendance. The visitors were Messrs. The visitors gave exeellent demo'nstration matches in both singles and doubles play. At an opportune time the president of the club, Mr. D. A. Jones, called upon the Mayor, Mr. R. E. Downes, who officially declared the club open. A most enjoyable supper was provided by the lady members. The club will play each Wpdnesday evening in the Parish Hall and there is every indication that there will be a large membership.
