— MANAKAU SUB-BRANCH MEETS The eighth annual meeting of the Manakau sub-branch of the Plunket Society was held recently. The president, Mrs. R. L. Robinson, occupied the chair and there was a good attendance, including several members from the Levin branch. •. .. . ' ' Mrs. Robinson welcomed the visitors and members. She thanked the committee for its -splendid work during the year, Nurse Hight for her help and co-operation and Mr. J. A. Goodwin for his services as honorary auditor.The election of ofhcefs, which was conduct'ed by Mrs. Todd, of the Levin branch, resulted as'fol^ lows:— Patron: . Hon .R. Semple; president: Mrs,»R. L. Robinson.;. vice-presidents: Mesdames J. N. 3Bryant).L. Jensen and F. H. Mavman; secretary-treasurer: Mrs. R. B. Bennell; committee: Mesdames W. Swainson, A. M. Atkins, Mudgway, W. Reid, N. Atkins, V. Bregman and Miss Cotter; hon. auditor: Mr. J. A. Goodwin; delegates to Levin branch: Mesdames Bennell ahd Mayman. Aftefhoon tea was served by the committee.
