MARKET REPORT
Messrs. Townsend and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchants, Wellington, report that all varietibs of fruits have sold readily during the past week. Chinese gooseberries and tomatoes have advanced in value, while a better enquiry exists for feijoas and tree tomatoes and passionfruit. A very keen enquiry exists for poorman oranges and Meyer lemons. With colder weather prevailing most varieties of vegetables have also been sought. Roots have been in better enquiry, while beetroot, cauliflowers, leeks, sprouts and rhubarb have been in keen demand. Smaller quantities of peas available have also been placed to advantage.
