WOMEN'S INSTITUTES

te HORO'S june meeting The June meeting of the Te Horo Women's • Institute commenced by reciting the aspirations. The president, Mrs. Johnson, was in the chair, and -welcomed members. She stated that she was pleased to say that Mrs. McCheshey was home again, after being in • hospital for three months. , . Letters of sympathy are to be sent to two members, Mesdames Cocker and Windley, both of whom ,have lost their mothers recently, and also to Mrs. Guthrie, whose daughter met with a fatal accident. A card was received from Mrs. Terry, of Feilding. The prize for the monthly penny competition, donated by Mrs. Evans, was won by Mrs. Spiers. An invitation was received to hear Mrs. Russell, of England, who will give an address in Palmerston North, on June 25, on A.C.W.W. aetivities.
