The Food and Rationing Controller, Mr. A. J. Costelloe, left yesterday by air for Australia for discussions on food supply problems. Mf. B. V- Cooksley, Taita, was elected presi.dent of the Dominion Council of Commercial Gardeners yesterday for the ninth successive year. Mr. G. J. Baxter, Nelson, was elected yice-presidenh. A fornier Comptroller of Customs in New Zealand, Dr. George Craig, C.M.G., IS.O., LL.D., died m Sydpey on Monday. He is survived by his wife but his three daugflters who were living in Malaya iost their lives in the Japanese jnvasion. Two of them were doctors and the other a lawyer.
