In brilliant sunshine 400 glamorous girls waved from the crowded deck to long low whistles from the watersiders. They were Australian bndes and fiancees of United States servicemen on their way at last to wedded bliss, some of them after waiting three years. "It seemed like eternity but it worT'f be long now," they told reporters. ' ' I sat in the Consul 's oiiice until I got my farewell tieket," said a vivaeious blonde bride, "but oh, boyj it'll be some second honeymoon. ' ' For brides and fiancees who are being assisted to United States by the authorities there, this will be "the last round up." Others wishing to join husbands will have to pay their own s fare.
