LONG-SUFFERING LEVIN
"GRAN."
Sir,— I was oleased to see that the young men of the town have started to take an interest in its wellbeing. More power to them for they have much to do. The young men who have been away from Levin during the last six years, and who h|ve seen and enjoyed the amenities of other towns, know that Levin needs drainage and refuse collected weekly (rats in the town are much more dangerous to health than a sanitorium out of it) . A new hospital and maternity home are urgently needed, and also plenty of bins for paper and rubbish in the main streets, with notices requesting the public to use them. Nature has done much for Levin, which is set between the hills and; the sea. It is a coming town if the citizens do their bit to bring it up-tordate. Yours, etc..
