HUNT AT POROUTAWHAO

Hounds met on Monday at Mr. Gordon Vickers' and hunted Mr. Kilsby's and adjoining properties. Conditions were cold but dry, and the thirty-odd * followers, some f rom Kiwitea, Aokautere and Oroua Downs, enjoyed an excelient afternoon's sport. At times, however, the hare took to unspared country and the field then thinned down to those on the experienced wire jumpers. The afternoon tea was served and very much enjoyed in Mrs. Vickers' garden. The followers were: Master, Mr. F. S. McBeth on "Paddy," deputy master, Mr. G. Vickers, "Starlight," hon. whips, Messrs. J. Blenkhorn, "Otauru King" and J. Proctor "Santa," huntsman, Mr. S. Denton, "Tibetan Star," Mesdames J. Taylor "Grey Boy," C. Smith "Lady Jane," H. Tilbury "Skipper," W. Bills "Sambo,"' Misses R. Perry "Laughing Chief," S. Jackson "Lady Grey," P. Fullarton "Just So," A. Quinn "Lassie," D. Bradbury "Dolly," D. Marsh "Robin," S. McBeth "Silver," Dr. S. J. Thompson "Sultan," Messrs. R.
