OBITUARY

mrs. johanna power Another of Otaki's oldest identities has passed away in the person of Mrs. Johanna Power, widow of the late Mr. James' Power. The deceased, who was 87 years of age, had enjoyed good health till a few days ago, but on Friday was taken to the Palmerston North Hospital, passing away on Sunday. Mrs. Power, who was born in Ireland, came to New Zealand 65 years ago and had been in Otaki for over 50 years, making many friends. Her late husband was a well-known contractor. Two sons are left to mourn their loss, Patrick (Otaki) and Leo (Pukerua Bay) . ______
