The . following is contained in a letter from the Minister of Health, the Hon. A. Nordmeyer, to me, dated April 2, 1947, in reply to a stated case at 2 p.m., which did not require a medical specialist: "In reply I desire to say that while it is competent for a medical practitioner to charge for his services a greater sum/ he can recover at law only 7s 6d per visit or the sum of 12s 6d in the case of Sunday and night calls."
