The hard fairways still give players a' few extra yards on their drives, but fast greens prove the d'ownfall for many of the beginners. On Saturday afternoon a bogey competraon was played and S. Gledhill and W. Stern both returned cards of two down on the "colonel." However, Gledhill won on the countback. Other cards were C. Stern three down and T. Harrlson three down. Saturday afternoon saw the ladies and gentlemen of the Buckley Club combine to play a mixed foursome. The fixture proved very popular and the scores were as follows: — Mrs. Rasmussen and C. Stern 88 — 18 — 70, Miss E. Stern and N. Mabey 85 — 13 — 72, Mrs. H. Pope and P. Picard 86 — 13 — 73, Miss N. Easton and H. Mabey 91 — 17 — 74, Mrs. G." Fitzgerald and W. Stern 96 — 18 — 78, Mrs. Higgie and J. Mabey 92 — 12 — 80, Mrs. D. Fitzgerald and J. Chambers 99 — 18 — 81, Miss C. Stern and H. Pope 102 — 19 — 83, Miss E. Roach and V. Pope 104 — 20 — 84 and Mrs. Wilson and K. Thomson 101 — 13 — 88. In the "top dogs" match played on Sub$ay^mo£ping' the holders^ F. Picard and H. itarena, defeated H. and N.
