Personal. Mr. and Mrs. D. Lester and family, of Arapeti, are spending the school holidays at Napier. " Mr. C. A. McBean, who has been spending a short holiday as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. E. Chester, Stout Street, has returned to his home in Dunedin. The friends of Miss Gillian Chester will be pleased to learn that she returned home from Palmerston North Hospital on Sunday. Miss Chester has almost completely recovered from her recent accident. W.I. Prfesentation The Shannon Women's Institute's silver presentation cup for the most points gained during the year in the monthly competitions was presented to Mrs. J. Sinclair at the recent birthday 'function of the institute. Mrs. Sinclair was also the winner of Mrs. A. E. Burling's prize for the most points eained in the thrift competition.
