JOCKEY'S APPEAL DISMISSED

WELLINGTON, April 17. The Wellington district eommittee today dismissed the appeal of Jockey A. C. Messervv against his suspension for one month by the judicial eommittee of the Wairarapa Racing Club. Messervv was found guiltv of careless riding vvhen he allowed the winner Royal Victor, to interfere with Longsword about 150 vards from the fmish of the Easter Handicap run at the Wairavapa meeting at Tauherenikau on Saturday, April 5. The district committ&e ordered Messervv 's appeal deposit of £5 to be forfeited.
