FIRE DESTROYS SAWMILL
INVERCARGILL, April 14. Damage to the extent of severai thousands of pounds was caused by a fire which destroyed Kilkelly Brotherssawmill at Myross Bush shortly after 5 p.m. todav. ^ About 15 men employen had left 20 nrinutes before the fire Was first noticed. The flames swept tne building in a few miuutes. I^he littie water available was used to prevent the fire spreading to the timber yard. Teu saws and a lathe worth about £S00 wero among the equjpment destroyed. It is believed the fire was started oy sparkk from the boiier ighiting a pue of oily sacking.
