LADIES' BOWLING
On Easter Monday a party comprising Mesdames H. Walker, . Forst'er, Johnston, Lett, Bagrie, Lacey, Stevens and Henderson from the Levin LadiOs' Bowiing Club visited Paraparaumu to take part in that club's one-day opeh tournameht. A total of 64 players from ladies' ciubs at Carterton, Seatoun, Kilbirnie, Island Bay, Levin ahd Paraparaumu took part. A rihk skipped oy Mrs. Foley, of Kilbirnie, won all four games. In a challenge match for the Phill.ips' Stars, the ' holders, Mesdames Forster and Stevehs (s) , defeated Mesdames H. Walker and Garaner (S) in & very close and interesting game. The ciub's champioh pairS fof che season was won by Mesdames Lett and Hayes (S) . The sihgles championship went to Mrs. Lacey for the second year in succession. Visits to -Kilbirnie and Island Bay had to be cancelled owing to unfavourable weather. A very successful season was ended on, Thursday, wh#h a good muster of players spent an enjoyable afternoon.
