OFFENSIVE AGAINST GUERILLAS DEVELOPING

Between 50,000 and 60,000 Govern-" rnent troops are developing' tlie offen sive against 10,000 to 15,000 Comnaun-ist-led guerillas in the mountains of Central and Nortlxern ' Greece, reports Reuter'sj correspondent. * The bulk of the- newly-equipped air force- operated as Government troops mov'ed forward. Spitfires flew over. the battle areas, and transport planes stood ready to parachute supplies to the forward troops. Six hundred paratroops with heavy machine-guns were dropped successfully into the battle area near Larissa. Oue' hundred and -sixteen guerillas were killed and 95 wounded in a clash near the villngo of Frfwigista. ./ I
