The Greek Ambassador (Mr. Dendramis) 1 defending President Truman's plan to help Grcece and Turkey*, told the Security Council that the cause of the contiuuing ditBculties in Greece was the support given 'from beyond Greece 's northern borders to a very small minority in Greece who were seeking by coercive means to bring Greece under a Commuhist dictatorship. Mr. Lange (Poland) spoke against the Truman plan and said the United Btates was to blame because no postUnraa orgauisation was established to handle the assistance. He supported Mr. Gromylco's resolution to create a special United Nation 's Cominission tu oversee economic aid given by any nation to Greece. 1 VM r. Dendramis poi'nted out that Eussia recently agreed to give I'olancl 28,000,000 dollars in credits and suppiy the Polish Government with arms anu war materials. He added that the United Nations was still without oflicial knowledge of this agreement.

If Greece and Turkey should fall under Russia's sway, Italy will be the next victim of this system of economic, military and political aggression, and France will be the next objective. "We should demand of Russi.a that she abandon the methods whereby she subjugates sateilite States. We should make it plain that we shall resist this. effort to destroy free people 's independence and integrity."
