AMERICA TO BE ASKED TO CU[?] WOOL TARIFF
i ^ Received Thursdav, 11 a.m. LONDON, April 2. Australia intends asking at the international trade conference for a 50 per cent. cut in the American tariff on wool as part of her price for the trade concessions the United States will seek. New Zealand and South Africa, as wool exporters, have joined in thej request and all three have won Canada's support in return for; their support of Canada's request for a reduction of the American tariff on newsprint.
