Special Session of Assembly Urged by Britain

Received Thursday, 11.30 a.m. NEW YORK, April 2. Britain formally requested United Nations today to summon as soon as possible a special sessjon of the General Assembly to deal with the Palesti'ne question. Sir Alexander Cadogan's letter to the Secretary-General said that Britain would submit an account of her administratio'h of the Palestine rpandate, and would ask the itqssembly to make recommendations h the future Government of Pal^esti'ne. Earlier the United States, Russia, France and China had agreed to a special session. The SecretaryGenejral will consult the 55 members and if 28 submit affirmative answers the assembly will be summoiaed immediately.
