U.S. BROADCASTS TO RUSSIA SABOTAGED
Received Monday, 9.35 a.m. WASHINGTON, March 30. American shortwave transmitters in Munich aimed at Russia have been sabotaged, with the result that some "Voice of America" broadcasts have been beamed to South America instead of to Moscow, said the Assistant Secretary of State, Mr. William Benton. Sabotage had been achieved by reversing the switching gear. He added that the condition was corrected and reception in Moscow was now good. The broadcasts are inaugurated in New York and relayed at Munich. f
