NOT ENOUGH POWER SAVED
; BOMD RECEIYES WARNING .rr Recent adverse weather had not permitted a fair test of the amount of power saved by the restriction on watCr heaters, said the manag-ing-secretary of the Horowhehua Electric Power Board, Mr. R. A. Frederiksoh, this morning. The cohsumption of power generally had risen to such an extent that it had been necessary to institute a further shut down period on Sunday, and the weekend half hour periods had been extended to 45 miniites. Further warhings to rCduce load had been received from the Electricity Gontroller, but how this would be. carried out by the board was not yet decided. The first step WOuld be the prohibitioh of shop window lighting at night, and the use in business premises of UnheCesSary lighting during the day.
