War contracts involving more tlian £30,000,000 negotiated by the Departnient oi' Aircraft Production contained " unsatisfactorv features'* according to disclosures made by tlie Auditor-Gen-eral (Mr. Joyce). Advances totalling £14,375,000 were made to one contractor in respect of nine contracts for one of which he also received material from overseas sources valucd at £1,790,000. After a long delav an investigatioii is in progress to 'determine the proiit margins.
