LETTER TO THE EDITOR
F. J.
RYDER.
Sir, — Dame Rumour has it that a large eel, well and truly decomposed, has been taken from one of the high pressure water tanks at Tasman. If Dame Rumour tells the truth, and I have every reason to believe she has, then I want to know why this has not been allowed to reach the public. Surely, Sir, there is something amiss. Is our Otaki borough to be run like our present Government, where many funny things are done? As I am informed this happened some time ago, it is well past the time it reached the Otaki public. I would like to know if there is now a device to prevent such a thing happening again, and at the same time who was responsible for this news being withheld from the ratepayers. Now, His Worship and councillors, tell us the truth. Yours etc..
Otaki, March 21.
