OTAKI FOOTBALL CLUB
A meeting of members of the Otaki Football Club was held on Wednesday night, Mr. E. J. .Cook presiding. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Cahill (president) and Nilsson (seere- , cary). The attendance was good. j It was decided to hominate senior, junior and third grade j teams for the Horowhenua, championship matches. i The chairman stated that it ! would be necessary to forward to the union . the list .of financial members, and this the secretary j will be asked to attend to. The matter of ground improvement was discussed, and it was agreed to meet the Domain Com-j mittee of the Borough Councii. It j was resolved that the domain be| nominated as the playing area for union matches, Mr. Cook stating that he had the permission of the Borough Councii to do so. It was agreed to have a working bee on the ground on March 23, when it was hoped that as many members as possible would attend. Jerseys at the price of 17s 9d, white shorts at 8s lld and boots at from 24s to 28s were submitted to| the meeting. It was agreed to arrange a ■ match with PPtone at Petone . either on Easter Saturday or Eas-j ter Mcmday. i Mr. Mita Johnson was added to-j the cotamittee. Discussion relative to officers for t the union followed, but the matter1 was left to the club's delegate to 1 vote for the officers he consideredi most suitable. Accounts as submitted were I passed for payment, that for thej :ghting of the domain to be pro- 1 portioned beween the Otaki and ! Rahui Clubs and the Otaki A.A. and C. Club. The following were added to the list of vice-presidents: Messrs T., Parnell, Cam Price, F. Bolton, Bert, Kelleher, Jack Gilmore, Charl*~ | Harrison, A. Watt, Joe Fitzgerald, t T. McFetridge and Ernie Cunningham. Mr. Jack Gilmore was elected coach to the club.
