WELLINGTON, Mareh 20. An interiiu injunctiou order was sought aud obtained on bchalf of the uegro boxer Willie Jones by Mr. L. H. Herd in tlie Wellington Supreme Court late this af ternoop. The effect of the injunction is to: order tlie New Zealand Boxing Councii to restore Jones' licence, also to reatrain members of the Councii from acting further ou the purported suspension of the liceuce. It was grauted by Mr. Justice Christie who presided over a similar application concerniug Bos Murphy 011 Wednesday. Tlie statement of claim was tlie same as that presented on Murphy 's behalf, alleging iuter alia that it was unlawful for defendauts to suspend or x>urport to suspend plaintiff's licence. By rea son of this suspension plaiutiff had suffered damage (a) to his reputation as a professional boxer, and (b) by being ineligible under the rules of the New Zealand Boxing Association for employmcnt as a professional boxer by any of its members. The order remaius in foree till defendauts make application, if thcv consider such action necessary, for hearing to the Court to have it dissolved. Joues has received written uotice to attcnd a New Zealand Boxing Councii inquiry tomorrow.
