RIFLE SHOOTING
The Ngatiawa Rifle ' Club competed for Mr. Edhouse's trophy on Saturday last. Conditions were !good and A. J. Brown obtained a possible and A. K. Monk a 49, hisfirst shot being an inner. Scores in the two shoots at 500 yards, together with the handicap and total, were: — A. J. Brown 50 — 47 — scr. — 97, A. K. | Monk 47 — 49 — scr. — 96, R. J. Carter 46 — 47—3 — 96, J. Nutting 44 — 45 — 0 — 89 and C. Henderson 39—35—10—84.
