LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
BOY SCOUT JAMBOREE FUND Sir, — Yesterday, in common with countless other citizens, I was approached to make a donation to the scout jamboree fund by way of collection boxes. The response in my case was immediate for I consider the~ cause most worthy. Surely there is no better way of establishing world brotherhood than by having our lads travel to other lands and intermingle in true scout fashion with scouts of all nations. We of Levin and district should feel proud that our own representatives will carry our bariner of goodwill and brotherhood to other nations, apd I am sure the response yesterday was good. But, Sir, could the scout eommittee supply your readers with any details of the jamboree, the arrangements made with the countries to which our lads will travel, the cost per head of sending each scout from New Zealand and the nature of the invitation received from Frdnce. I have kept a keen eye open fdr information of this nature, but am at present in ighorance of these facts.- - Smely if we are invited to contribute to even this most worthy cause we should have some details about these points. Yours etc., "OLD SCOUT." Levin, March 19.
