' ' We would like to see a stop put to this sort of thing, and we would be prepared to set up some kind • of organisation to prevent that type ot t'raud, ' ' he said. ''At the present timethere is no central agency in England where overseas buyers of stock caa make inquiries and obtain informatiou regarding animals they wish to obtain, but we intend to institute such an agency. ' ' Lord Bledisloe 's remarks were in reply to an appeal by Mr. B. E. Keiller, president of the Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand, to the Royal Agricultural Society of England for assistanee in seeing that Doininion buyers obtained only the very best quality stock from the Old Country. He referred to the taet that breeders in New Zealand could now avail theni selves of the facilities of direct iniportation. This meant that importation of livestock would be. easier and cheaper than in the past, and breeders now should exercise the greatest care in procuring only the liighest quality' animals.
