LOKDON, Mar. 10. The tliaw has spread over ahnost the whole of Britain exeept for the extreme north of England aiid Last Scotland, liringing widespread fog and fcar of flooding in many districts The fog grounded airliners at some airports and slowed down road and rail traftic evervwhere. it alniost halted shipping in the Straits of Dover and stopped colliers on the way up the Thames. The thaw freed some Yorkshire roads buried for 42 days. The Fuel Ministry reported better conditions in all colliery districts anl the railway position is considerably improved.
