GOVERNMENT REQUEST FOR CANCELLATION OF SPORT

Received Wed'.osday, 11.30 a.m. LONDON, March 11. Mr. F. S. Rouse, secretary of the Football Association, after a conference between football officials and the Government, said the Government requested the cancellation of all mid-week sport until the end of the season. Rugby football delegates stated that the Government promised an early decision on a tour by the Australians who are expected to arrive in England in September.
