OTAKI GOLF CLUB

NEW OFFICERS ELECTED The annual general meeting of the Otaki Golf Club was . neld recently in the Anglican Hall. There was a good attendance of members and some lively discussions took place. The president, Mr. S. A. Eiliott, in his opening address, said that this year's annual meeting was the 46th, the_ club having been formed In 1901. As the oldest club on this coast, said the president, members should be looking forward to the jubilee year in 1951 by bringing the links into first class order fcr ihe celebrations which would be held. The following officers were elccted i for the 1947 season: — President: j Mr. S. A. Eiliott (i'e-elected) ; cap- ' tain : Mr. A. Harper ; secretary : Mr. F. S. Eiliott; treasurer: Mr.-N. D. Anderson; auditor: Mr. A. Wilson; I handicapper : Mr. D. G. Sutherlands committee: Messrs. I. Bertram, E. Anderson and J. Winterburn, and Dr. F. Neate. The opening day was fixed for March 2h
