— ^ PcrsouRrL Peter, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Royal, left for Auckland on Monday night and will join the Navy. The speaker at the next Home and School Association meeting, to be held at Otaki on March 20, will be Mr. L. J. Wild, former principal of the Feilding Agricultural High School. Funds from Concert The. proceeds of the recent concert at Otaki and donations amount to £206 3s 5a. This sum will be forwarded to the Mayor of Hamilton for the benefit of Mrs. Inia Te Wiata, whose husband shortly leaves for overseas. Band Display The band display to be given at Otaki on Sunday is arousing considerable interest. At Tuesday night's practice there was a splendid attendance, twcnty-three answering the roll call, with three others joining, thus making a total of 26. Th'e function on Sunday is one that should not be missed. It will certainly be a musical treat. Wellington Races Races will be held at Trentham on Saturday next and the following Saturday, and acceptances for the second day close on Tuesday next: The " programme is a very attractive one, and the best horses in the Dominion will be seen in action. Arrangements, as usual, j will be comulete, and given fine i weather a large number of sports will be in attendance.
