RIFLE SHOOTING AT HAUTERE
Last Saturday the Hautere Rifle Club fired a double ten shot match at 600 yards under fairly good shooting craditions. An interested I spectator in the carly afternoon | was Mr. Arthur Thomson, of New I Plymouth, an old member and ex- ! president/ of the Hautere Club. > Rifleman B. F. Monk won Mr. C. Cobb's trophy, while president H. A i Lumsden won Mr. w. Deller's I trophy over the first scries of belt | matches. The following are the individual scores, the main being 461 at 600 | yards: — B. F. Simcox 35 — 40 — 11 — 86, Noel Monk ' 39 — 41 — 6 — 86, Ron Monk 42 — 40 4! —86, H. Taylor 36—38—4—78 and I L. Iggulden 31—35—11—77. Next Saturday a. start will be made on the second series with a double ten at 300 yards.
