WEEK-END CRICKET
SHANNON DEFEAT FOXTON The local cricket team secured a win on the first innings in a friendly match played against a Foxton eleven at the Shannon Domain during the weekend. Shanhoh in their first innings scored 222 runs. Burke (33), Hermansson (33), Tippler (22) and Moore (22) were the top batsmen. Foxton scored 10.7 runs before being dismissed in their innings. Carmonf - (24. not out) and.- Clough ( 18') topped the batting. In Shannon's Second^ kpock they declared with 31 for the loss of three wickets. Foxton's second innings resulted in the addition of 54 runs to their total. In this innings C. Harris secured a hat trick, taking three wickets for seven runs.
