After considerable discussion the following remit was put fgrward for submission to the Provincial Executive: ''That this branch is of the opinion that the farmer's services be measured by 1 the same yardstick as that used ^o measure that of the services of. other industries and that penal rates be awarded for Sundays and holidays and hours worked over 40 per week." This motion was the result of a discussion which arose concernipg workers in other industries who were on a standard weekly wage and on a 40-hour per week working time. These workers were sntitied to penal rates when working on Sundays, holidays and hours worked over 40 oer week, but the farmers who worked everyday and xlways over 40 hours per week had no compensation for their over;ime. i .
