Eeceived Sundav, 7.30 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 23. A Kalgoorlie resident, Regiuald Smith, has become a gold digger in his own back yard. Three weeks ago he brought back from a prospecting tour a tub full of rich loamy soil. Sayiug uothing to the family he dumped' it in the back yard and wSnt off on another trip. His father-in-law spreajl the soil on a patch of lawn. Smith spent all last week scraping the soil into the tub agaiu. When treated it yiclded 30 ounces of gold valued at £300. The soil was part of a small patch of gold bear- . ing ground he had fouud in the bush,
