friEndly matcii with foxton The Shannon cricket team visited Foxton during the weekend, where a friendly match was played with the Foxton Club. Each team played two innings and the Shannon team scored a win by the-nar-row margin of seven runs. Shannon faced the'bowling first and secured 47 runs, Harris (10) and Seaton (9) being the top scorers. Bowling .for Foxton, Herini took three wickets for seven runs and I. Williams two for four. Foxton in their first innings scored 106 runs, Holden (26), Carmont (26) and Walls (25) .proving the best batsrhen. Bowling for Shannon Tippler took six wickets for 17 runs and Moore four .for 42. In their second innings Shannon made 94 runs, Batt contributing 18, Harris 16 and Hobbs 12. Foxton's second innings yielded only .28.
