G. Lowry. Mr. M. H. Oram, M.P., and Mrs. Oram have also signified their intention to be present at the function. Baby Carnival Starts The baby phocograph competition, which is being conducted by the local brancn of the Plunket Society to raise funds for the Karitane Hospital, 'commenced yesterday. There are some twenty entrants and their photographs are now on display in Mrs. Hyde's shop window. Votes are being sold at orfe penny each, and the baby securing the highest number of votes will be judgedthe winner.
