METHODIST GUILD MEETS
■■ - — The first meeting, of St, John's Methodist Ladies' Guild for 1947 was held recently in the Bible Class rocms. Mrs. Kennerley presided and led devotions. A readdng from Rita Snowden's "In the Shadows" was also given. During the afternoon members stood in sil'ence to express their sympathy with members who nad suffered bereavements since the 'last meeting. The visiting committee reported that 29 visits had been made since the November meeting and a number, of letterswere read from gratefu! recipients 'of parcels sent overseas. It was decided to hold a garden party in the church grounds on March 11.
