The bride, vvho wan escorteu from the home of her maternal grandmother (Mrs. Boyer) by her f'ather, wore for ihe occasion a simply-cut fitting trained gown (designed by lierself) of white satin made with long sleeves. Wliere the lace edged peplum met at the centre waist there was a satin bow and the high neckJine was linislied with two sprays of orange blossoms tied to fonn tiny satin bows. The long embroidered tnlle veil fell from a coronet of orange blossoms and a shower bouquet of white gladioli, lilium auratum, gypsopliila and maiden halr fern completed a charming toilette. The "something old,; was provided by the wearing of a pearl and amethyst pendant, the gift of her paternal grandmother, who had worn it on her wedding day. The bridesmaids were Miss Valerie Chetwynd and Miss Joan Hunter, of Wellington, and Eileen 0 'Connor, also of Wellington, was flower girl. They made an atLactive trio dressed alike in garland blue frocks made with long tight-litting bodiees linished with a peplum beJow tlie hipline from which fell tiie fully gathered slcirts. Blue bandeaux, ornamented . at each side with maiden hair fern and briglxt red eactus dalilias, were worn, and thev carried shower bouquets of bright red gladioli, cactus dahlias and maiden liair fern tied with red satin ribbon. Mr. Jarues S. Powwell, of Levin, was best inan and Mr. Rupert Homan, Lower Hutt, groomsman. On leaving tlie cliurch the bride was presented witli two lucky satin horseshoes by Barbara O 'Connor and Sylvia Algar. The Weraroa lia.ll was decorated with summer flowers for the reception. The (if) guests were received by Mr. and Mrs. Calnan, Ihe latter wearing a moss , green frock, fur coat, a duslcy pink slioulder spray and brown accessories. The bridegroom 's, mother wore a brown patterned frock with matching accessories and an orange tinted spray. The bride 's uncle, Mr. George Barton, of Wellington, was toast master, the usual toasts being honoured in the traditional manner. Made by Mrs. A. O 'Connor, of Wellington, the 3-tiered oiT-white iced wedding cake decorated witli a vase of maiden hair fern" and sweet jieas, was j(?ut by the bride. «- Lator a number of young frlends ioined the guests and a dance was held, the music being supplied by a local dance bancl. Algar and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gillingham and grand daughter, IMiss E. and Mr. J. Gillingham, Mrs. A. O 'Connor and daughter, Mr. Cecil Win and Lloyd Jordon.
