The entire crew of 35 was rescued from the 4700 tons Irish steame'r Irish Plane after she ran aground 011 Balurday night 011 the rocky coast near Ballycottin, County Cork, during the worst storm in living piemory. The Ballycottin llfeboat put out but had to return. The crew was rescued by breeehes buoy worked from tlie cliff top. Tlie Irish Plane was steaming from Dublin to Cork with a cargo of motor cars and trucks and'is not likely to be relioated.
